About the Art
What the artist says

These paintings are mindscapes rather than landscapes, as they relate to my experience, identity, and relationship to the medium.

Why we like it

Morgan has a unique ability to depict multiple subjects in a single work. Moving playfully between abstract and landscape, she surrenders to the will of the paint, creating powerfully sweeping vistas on her pages.

Where we hang it

To emphasize the natural horizon, hang this one on any wall that needs a bit of depth.

About the artist

Morgan Adler

Morgan Adler (b. 1994, Cleveland, OH) received a B.F.A. in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2018. She has exhibited throughout the United States and attended a formative residency in the Netherlands, which greatly influenced her current body of work. She currently lives and works between Chicago and Savannah, Georgia.

I paint to question the barrier between physical and emotional landscapes. I create empty worlds where paint itself plays the main character, telling a visually dramatic and self-reflexive story of tension and fusion.
