About the Art
My paintings use classic Dutch landscape painting traditions and abstraction by using the exterior world and the interiority of human emotion as source material.
Morgan has a unique ability to depict multiple subjects in a single work. Moving playfully between abstract and landscape, she surrenders to the will of the paint, creating powerfully sweeping vistas on her miniature pages.
To emphasize the natural horizon in Morgan’s work by resting it on a shelf or a piece of furniture.
About the artist
Morgan Adler
Morgan Adler received a B.F.A. in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2018. She has exhibited internationally and nationally along the east coast of the United States. After graduation, she attended a residency outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands, which greatly influenced her current body of work. She currently lives in Savannah, Georgia as a full-time artist, part-time art framer, and founder of the artist collective, The Space Between.
The landscapes are trying to be magical and ominous, and then also comforting and disorienting; trying to walk the line between those things.
