About the Art
What the artist saysI want to always explore playfulness in my lines, colors, and subject matter. I see things in little animated short stories, who they are, where they are going, the dialog and try to catch the sense of the moment and life in the one frame.
Why we like itCourtney leaves no edge unpainted, playing with the perspective of this row of identical figures and continuing the narrative of her work along the sides of the canvas.
Where we hang itThis is one of few pieces of this size that can stand on its own, due to its depth, vibrancy and detail. Whatever you do, don't frame this one: half the fun exists around the edges.
