About the Artist
Alyssa Udovitsch
Alyssa grew up around photography and started shooting film at a young age as her father owned a photography studio in Southern California in the 1980s. The quality and texture of her medium are difficult, if not impossible, to replicate and the patience and process of shooting film is an experience she continues to enjoy. She finds inspiration from cinema; particularly the work of Agnès Varda and Robby Müller. The setting of a story is a character in and of itself, and she continues to search for those characters in unlikely places.“Film is chemistry, but it is also magic.”
