About the Art
What the artist saysThese double exposure photographs showcase my journey through Paris. Initially, the city's constant rain and neutral tones felt gloomy, but the vibrant displays from Parisian florists brought a newfound joy and inspiration.
Why we like itA stark departure from her colorful watercolor pieces, these bold black and white photographs demonstrate the breadth of Fleur’s abilities to master multiple mediums.
Where we hang itThese photos come in two sizes and would work as a stand-alone piece or as part of a larger gallery wall.
About the Artist
Fleur Thesmar
After graduating from Ecole Polytechnique and Imperial College, Fleur Thesmar worked 20 years in France in the high tech industry. Her arrival in the United States in 2015 triggered an ancient passion -- painting -- which she explored through classes in the Museum of Fine Arts studio art program. Since then, she has exhibited juried shows in the U.S. and around the world, working primarily in watercolor. She hopes to share her intense emotions and the change of perspective she has shaped through her migration to the United States.“I include in my paintings impressions of mathematical structures, which I complete with iterations of motifs representing the echoes and the harmony of the world.”
